My B12 Journey: The first update.
The last day of B12/Pernicious Anaemia Awareness Week, September 19-25, 2022
First things first: I had a glaring omission from my list of information sources for B12 Deficiency:
Pat Kornic, the founder of Pernicious Anaemia/B12 Deficiency Support Group – Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/PAB12DSupportGroup/ Pat can also be found on Twitter @ontariolass . How I managed to not include her after sharing TWO of her flyers on twitter earlier this week is beyond me! I’m attaching an additional one here:
Secondly, I want to elaborate about my reasons for this experiment on myself:
1. Per my earlier reference, roughly 30% to 40% of US adults are B12 Deficient. This is a much higher percent of the population than the often-quoted rate (1-2%). The biggest reason is that the standard reference range for the serum B12 test does not account for a large number of people that are actually having symptoms, but don’t fit in the current flawed test range. Here’s the chart:
2. Here are the major modes that cause B12 Deficiency as I mentioned in the SPACEDOC.COM article, plus some added additional categories and my comments about Treatment Required:
It makes commons sense to me that out of the 6 major modes of B12 Deficiency causes, 4 of them MIGHT be able to be reversed by treating the root cause!
This is postulation at this point, because it doesn’t appear that anyone anywhere has done any research to investigate it. At least that I’ve found.
It’s time for that to change.
I’ll keep you posted on my little experiment.
Good luck, Greg and I am certainly interested in your project.
Thanks so much Pat! I'll keep you posted.
